Toddler Program

Ages 18 Months - 3 Years

  • Teachers

Our lead teachers are Montessori trained and devoted to the process of helping toddlers foster their independence and love of learning.

  • Environment

In our “homey” rooms, the furniture and materials are made of wood and other natural substances in this multi-sensory environment. The outdoor environment consists of materials and activities which help the children to develop coordination, equilibrium and strength.

  • Curriculum

The activities of the curriculum in the Montessori Toddler community are based on eight basic areas of development:

    • Practical life
    • Hand-Eye coordination
    • Art and Music
    • Movement
    • Math manipulatives
    • Sensorial
    • Bible
    • Language
  • Language Arts

The Montessori approach to language arts at the toddler stage involves bringing literacy and poetry into their daily lives as well as increasing vocabulary and focusing on proper enunciation of words.

  • Atmosphere

Montessori Toddler Community is an environment of self development in a tender atmosphere of support, understanding, and respect.

  • Parent Partnership

As teachers working with your child at their developmental pace, teaming up with parents during this transitional learning time is key.  We welcome and encourage parent communication as children learn new skills and practice them both here at school and at home.
